Oops...

I got so excited about my growing veg that I have rather neglected the back garden for a while, and a few weeks of alternating sunshine and heavy rain have, well... perhaps it's better illustrated by a picture:

Taken from the upstairs window as you can probably tell - mind you it really doesn't show the full horror as the weeds are probably at shoulder hight by now. Perhaps I should brave the jungle and take some more pictures.

However, on a positive note, the bit I have actually cleared has stayed remarkably weed-free:
